Altinkum crime rate and security
Didim Today Altinkum News - The local groups and residents, Turkish and English alike, are campaigning for more security in Altinkum Didim due to the small increase in crime levels. Local Didim groups raised issues regarding security in Altinkum Didim streets and a petition was launched. The signed petition was around the security in Altinkum Didim and it has now been send to the Minister’s office after the speech he held at the local post office in Didim.
At the press speech, held at the local post office Didim, the politic party representative’s from CHP, ODP, EMEP and Egitim-Sen attended, along with Egitim-Sen Personals. There was also a press speech held by the local Alevi Cultural Center Cem House Association group behalf of group in Didim Altinkum.
Didim Corumlular Group representative, A Colak stated “impossible walk safe like before in Altinkum Didim and there is more risk now and needs more security attention for public’s safety in Didim” and the Local groups/residents raised issues regarding many security matters in Didim and Altinkum.
Then the group explained that 800 people had signed the petition that was sent to the Ministry of the Interior through the Post Office in Didim on 15th March 2011.
However the local police force have suggested MOBESE (CCTV) to make Altinkum Didim a safer place and to reduce crime in the area, they have already been looking into the issues and are doing all they can to sorting them soon as possible.
The local police chief informed the local media that the MOBESE (CCTV) system will not only benefit by reducing crime and improving safety, the system will also benefit everyone in the Didim area, with the contributions of everyone in this business they aim to establish a system by summer.
The council informed the Mayor of Didim Mumin Kamacı, that they have received the MOBESE poles for the system, the municipality said that they are open provide support for the establishment.
All the local residents should also be reporting every suspicious or dangerous incidents/persons to local police on 155 and local jandarma on 156 or get a help from your local council if you are in doubt.
